Install Git on the computer
Gitlab, like Github, uses Git client to interact with the repository. So, the first thing, you need to install git on your computer.
On Linux Mint, type the following command to install Git.
$ sudo apt-get install git -y
Install Gitlab plugin in Pycharm
To install the plugin in Pycharm, go to
Settings or press
Ctrl + Alt + S.
Next, go to the
Plugins tab, the
Marketplace section, and type the word
GitLab Projects in the search box. Click
Install to install this plugin. Maybe Pycharm need to restart.
After that, you need to create Personal Access Token on Gitlab. This token allows Pycharm to connect to your entire repository.

Finally, in the
Settings window, go to the
Version Control tab ->
Gitlab. Click the
Add New GitLab Server button in the upper right corner.

And you fill in the information like in the image below.
Now, at the top menu of Pycharm. You click on
Checkout from Version Control ->
Git. Clone your repositories to your computer, and now you can use Pycharm in conjunction with Gitlab.
